Money Magazine Best Places to Live

Money Magazine Best Places to Live
Escape the pressures of the city and step up to a better reality in a quiet small town. Money Magazine just came out with its 2009 list of the top 100 small towns to live in the US. See if your dream destination makes the cut. Rounding out the top 5 are: via Money Mag

* Louisville, Colorado
* Chanhassen, Minnesota
* Papillion, Nebraska
* Middleton, Wisconsin
* Milton, Massachusetts

The magazine cited the town's 6.9 percent unemployment among 16,100 residents, good schools, recreation and charms as reasons for ranking it high on the list. Money put Warren's median age at 40.8, family income at $153,666 and median home price at $600,000.

The state fared better in the magazine's top 25 places to meet rich singles, with four towns making the list, including a few sleeper surprises.

The borough, which has seen its population nearly double over the past 20 years, is popular among ferry-riding city professionals. But it doesn't feature the same bar-heavy singles scene as its lively southern neighbors, Hoboken and Jersey City.

Money Magazine has just released their much anticipated annual rankings of the best places to live in the U.S., which appears in the August issue. This year's list focused on best small towns, and the top ranking went to Louisville, Colorado (sorry Louisville, Kentucky, you're not a small town), while Oviedo, Florida sneaked onto the list at number 100. Louisville, CO ranked 3rd on the 2007 list.
